Perfect by Judith McNaught

Perfect by Judith McNaught is a novel with a very interesting story line. This novel too, like the other novels of the author is a love story but yet again McNaught has surprised the reader by choosing a completely out of the box set up.
The novel is about a foster child named Julie Mathison who is completely unaware of her roots. She never developed a  curiosity to probe about where she was from because she was raised in a very loving household. The family which adopted her never made her feel as if she was not their own child. She grew up to be a strong, independent and educated woman. As far as choosing a profession was concerned she chose to become a teacher so that she could give back all the love and affection she had received as a child. She was a very well reputed teacher in her town, Texas.
The other main character in the novel was Zachary Benedict. He was an academy award winning director who had been convicted of murdering his wife. The allegation on him was false but he had failed to prove that, as a result of which he was arrested.
Zachary came across Julie while he tried to escape from a prison in Texas. He abducted  Julie and imposed on her the idea of driving him out of Texas to Colorado. While this journey, Julie was initially scared but she gradually  started realizing that Zachary was wrongly convicted. On the other hand, Zachary started falling for Julie. After this point the plot becomes more  interesting as the goals in the lives of both the characters starts to change. They both felt truly committed to each other and  their struggle to prove Zachary's innocence made the story more interesting.
